The historic Inauguration and Swearing –in Ceremonies of Municipal and Barangay Officials of Municipality of Kitcharao was a success. It was held at New Municipal Park located at Brgy. Crossing on July 30, 2010. The said occasion was attended by Provincial Officials headed by Hon. Erlpe John M. Amante, provincial governor and Vice Governor Hon. Enrico Corvera. Present also were the newly elected Sangguniang Panlalawigan members namely; Hon. James T. Reserva, Hon. Aquino Gambe, and Hon. Rudy Maragañas. The historical occasion was commence with a Eucharistic Celebration by Rev. Fr. Romeo Cabatic Parish Priest at 7:00 o’clock in the morning.  It was highlighted also with a parade of Colors and a honorary march of the Brgy Captains, SB Members elect, Vice Mayor, Mayor with their respective family members and the well known Hon. Gov. Erlpe John M. Amante.  All of them were greatly acknowledged by a loud clapping of Kitcharaonons as sign of their appreciation and excitement.

Without any intervention, the Swearing – in ceremonies conducted. Hon. Erlpe John M. Amante, Governor of Agusan del Norte hosted the ceremony and he administered the Oath Taking of Mayor elect Hon. Jenry M. Montante with his family members onstage then followed by the Oath Taking of Vice Mayor Hon. Aristotle E. Montante and the elected seven (7) Sangguniang  Bayan Members.

In the Inaugural Address of Mayor Jenry M. Montante. He expressed his deep gratitude towards his fellow Kitcharaonons for their trust and support. He also thanked his family and love ones who throughout morally and spiritually supported him. He also expressed profound sincerity to pursue his promises in fairness and equitable development in the community through hand in hand and above all with the blessings of GOD Almighty.

Hon. Vice Mayor Aristotle E. Montante, the younger brother of Hon. Jenry M. Montante gave also a  short but substantial message to the people of Kitcharao. He emphasizes his lines; it says “We run this office by deeds not by speeches”. He added that no promises he had been made before, but they will do their very best to achieve and attain the goals and visions of Kitcharao in the near future.

The talented Municipal Employees had rendered a song in titled “Magkaisa”. The song was originally the theme  song of “People Power” in EDSA and the rest was  history. The opening part of the inauguration that got  the attention of many was the singing of the theme song of Kitcharao which the titled itself “Kitcharao” performed by the “Himig Danao” Choir. The said song was originally composed and arranged by Engr. Marc Elyzar Campado.

Finally, Hon. Governor Erlpe John M. Amante gave also an inspirational message. He thanked the people of Kitcharao for their trust and confidence who all throughout supported the administration. He inspired the new elected Mayor Jenry M. Montante that he will be an excellent leader which his brother did. He added that, it is in their bloodlines “ Nasa dugo na Yan!” as he definitely emphasized.  He promised love and support in return to the people of Kitcharao and through richer and for poorer “Sa Hirap at Ginhawa” he will always be there.

The Importance of Tourism Multi-Purpose Center and Mamanwa Cultural Center as Tourist Destination

     In conservation to this nature’s beauty destination, the Kitcharaonons must be vigilant enough through the internalization of  the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Laws to prohibit people in the improper disposal of garbage / wastes and vandalism as to maintain and promote the scenic beauty of the place.
